One of the most riveting books I’ve read recently. Doug Wead selects the most significant political families in America to investigate how these mothers and fathers raised future Presidents. What books selected by Abe Lincoln’s step-mother shaped his views? How did Joe Kennedy’s womanizing lifestyle impact JFK’s behavior? Why did one set of Roosevelt parents raise more empathetic and successful children than the other? It’s such a good book that I discussed parts of it with my 9-year-old…and he was interested!
