Based on the 2002 Fox series Firefly, Serenity can be enjoyed by both Firefly fans and those unaware of Serenity’s heritage. What did I like? The charaters were people one could like. The “good guys” and the villain had a certain honor.
The combination of space flick and western was masterfully done and there was no need for suspension of disbelief. The movie worked and was fun to watch. The dialog, too, was fun to listen to and the cussing is unintelligible. The action is fast and the dialog is witty. Rated PG-13.
