E.D. Hill loves to eat!  Ever wish you had a quick way to help your mood? Well it’s as easy as having a snack. Dr. Manny explains what foods to snack on to help improve your mood.

Are you feeling:

  • Mad? Grab some sushi or an orange. By snacking something full of Omega 3 or Vitamin B12 you can reduce your irritability.
  • Sad? Pick up a banana. Eating foods containing Vitamin B6 can help elevate your mood by increasing the production of the hormone dopamine in your brain- making you feel happy.
  • Tired? Have some yogurt or chicken. These protein-rich foods will release hormones that will keep you alert and awake.
  • Bored? Snack on some nuts. No they’re not entertaining, but they will prevent you from going on an eating binge. People tend to eat when they are bored, so eating the nuts will be just enough to keep you busy and not overindulge.
