My teens are raving about this! They love the music and…learned. My 14-year-old daughter says the book is just as good because the stories written using the vocabulary words are so comical that you can’t forget the word. Well, we’ll see. Two of them just took the SAT/PSAT and I’ll let you know how they did. The creators culled the list of vocabulary words that most frequently appear on the SAT year after year and put them to rock music. The CD is great. It is easy to learn the words and their meaning. Having spent a good deal of time drilling my kids from the vacab lists…this sure sounds like a better alternative. I’m always in favor of items they learn from without realizing it!

J.D.’s teacher recommended this and it is TERRIFIC! Math Munchers and Word Munchers. There are several grade levels to choose from. Any child who enjoys playing video games will be captivated by these games which improve their math and word skills. He is learning but thinks I’m just being nice and letting him play video games!!

Thank you to Jenny for alerting me to this great vocabulary building game. SHH..don’t let the kids know what it does! The object is to match one word on a green apple card with a word with a similar definition or concept. The game comes in various age levels and would be great practice for sections of standardized testing.
