National Center for Missing and Exploited Children

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children wants to help you empower and protect your children.

Learn how to keep your children safe online by visiting Netsmartz.org NCMEC’s Internet safety resource for parents and children.

This online resource has interactive presentations for kids of all ages, and is packed with information for parents and guardians to help them facilitate discussions with their children about online safety. Netsmartz.org teaches kids how to protect and empower themselves online, through fun and engaging games and video clips.

Here are some Quick Tips on how to proceed if your child is missing:

1. Search the house- Look in closets, under laundry piles, and under beds.
2. Call 911
3. If your child disappears in store, ask for “Code Adam Plan”
4. Call National Crime Information Center to add your child to their list.
5. Call 1-800-THE-LOST (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children)
