A Survival Guide From a Family of Nine: Raising a G-Rated Family in an X-Rated World

Are you concerned about what your kids see on TV? Brent Hatch, a father of seven and the author of, A Survival Guide From a Family of Nine: Raising a G-Rated Family in an X-Rated World, came on the show and gave parents some great tips on how they can get more involved in their children’s television habits.

Mr. Hatch explained that although there has always been violence on TV, it’s of greater concern today because the amount of violence allowed to be shown has increased. Not only has violence become more commonplace on TV but also what is aired is more graphic, sexual and sadistic than is has been in the past. He pointed out how today’s violence is portrayed as a game on TV, and often even has the “good guys” committing violent acts.
